Managing WordPress Themes with WordPress Toolkit

In this article, we will look at everything there is to manage the theme of your WordPress website with the WordPress Toolkit. With this plugin, you can install a new theme from the cPanel, upload one yourself and even uninstall it.

After you have logged in to your cPanel Dashboard, press the WordPress Toolkit application, and click the
Themes tab at the top. Then you will be at the main page where you can modify the themes.

Let’s start with Installing a new theme. The first thing that you need to do is to press the ‘Install’ button.

After pressing that button a sidebar menu will appear from the left. You will have a text area where you can insert the name of your theme, to finish the search press enter or click the icon to the right of the text.

After finding the theme that you were searching for check the checkmark next to it and press the ‘Select Websites’ button.

When the next form loads you will have a list of available websites from your hosting account that you can choose from. Select the website that you want the theme to be installed by checking the checkbox next to it.

To finish the process press the ‘Install’ button at the bottom.

After you have pressed the 'Install' button wait until the process finishes and you will see the new theme populate the list.

If you want to upload a theme by yourself, which happens in most cases when you buy a premium or paid version, just like you do with plugins, you can start the process by pressing the ‘Upload Theme’ button.

After pressing the button a sidebar menu will appear from the left. There you will be able to select the theme file by pressing the ‘Browse’ button. You can select the website that this theme will be installed by checking the checkbox at the side of the domain.

Last but not least if you want the theme to be activated after installation check the checkbox as shown in the picture.

Then press the ‘Ok’ button.

Then you have to wait until the theme gets installed and it will populate the list.

In case you haven’t selected the option to activate the theme when you install it then you can easily do it from the list of installed themes. You need to press the ‘Activate’ text that has a lightbulb at the side of the theme name.

After you click that wait for the process to finish and you’re done, the theme is now active.

Uninstalling a theme is a fairly easy process. Check the checkbox of the theme you want to remove and press the ‘Uninstall’ button. A popup will appear asking you if you are sure you want to perform this action, press Yes to complete the uninstalling process.

After pressing yes you will have to wait for the process to finish and then you will see the selected theme get removed from the list.

Updating the theme is really simple just check the checkbox of the theme you want to update and press the ‘Update’ button.

As you could have guessed by now, just wait for the process to finish updating your theme, and you are done.
