How to Enable Smart Updates with WordPress Toolkit - Deluxe Feature

In this article, you will learn how to enable the Smart Update feature in the WordPress Toolkit.

Smart Updates, allows users to test the update of their website, its plugins, and its themes, without actually affecting the website. Smart Update creates a full clone of the website, runs a number of preliminary checks, updates the cloned website, and runs the checks again to see if the update has broken anything. The resulting data is made available to the website owner in the WordPress Toolkit UI, along with a number of before-and-after screenshots for additional visual comparison. The user can then make an educated decision about whether the update should be performed or not, and tell the system to either perform the update on the production website or discard the update.

To get started with Smart Updates, first, log in to your cPanel account.

Then scroll down to the 'Applications' section and select the WordPress Toolkit application.

When the new page loads you will see the list of available WordPress websites on your account. If you don't see any, click the 'Scan' button to scan the account for existing WordPress installations. Click on the domain that you would like to manage to see additional options.

You will see more options open about the website, at the bottom you will find the 'Smart Update', flick the switch to turn it on or off.

That's it now you know how to enable or disable the Smart Update feature for your website.
If you have any issues with the Smart Update feature, please contact support for further assistance.
