You will be able to access your site via the secure address using https://yourdomain.com, but you may still receive warnings from the browser that the site is not secure. After a SSL Certificate is setup and installed on the server, you need to go through a checklist of items to make sure your site can be accessed properly (and securely) via the https:// version of the site.

IMPORTANT: We highly recommend creating a backup of your website's database and files before attempting to make any changes. Changes to your database tables may result in your site going down if you do not make the appropriate changes properly.

  • Search & Replace Database tables for insecure (http) instances of your domain's URLs
  • Manually update any hardcoded URLs
  • Manually update any tracking scripts, tracking codes, or third-party links
  • Update Google Search Console Property settings
  • Update Google Analytics Property and View settings

Also note, that if you're using Cloudflare, you will need to make sure to update the Crypto settings from Flexible to Full (not Full strict)
